The Full Story

I believe everyone has a right to live a life where they feel happy and safe. I specialize in trauma related practices, but also work with a wide variety of other issues including anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, and other psychiatric concerns. I utilized strength based practices as I believe everyone has strengths they come to therapy with. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and I am working on becoming certified in EMDR. I have been working in this field for the past 22yrs in many different capacities.
I have worked with foster children in an independent living program teaching life skills to young adults 17-22 years old. I have worked in the child welfare system for over 12 years and am very knowledgable in this area. I have worked for mobile crisis providing emergency mental health services to people in the community.
All of my experiences have been rewarding in many ways, but my domestic violence work is my passion and I feel very honored to support survivors on their path to healing. I currently work with a wide range of people with concerns including depression, anxiety, LGBT, substance abuse, severe mental illness, couples counseling & parent child relationship issues.
